Minimalism has given me the opportunity to live with more intention and think more deeply about how my choices affect the world around me.
I realized that I can actually live without a lot of the things that I used to bring into the house.
So here are 25 things I no longer buy since I became a minimalist:
Disposable cotton
Makeup wipes
Makeup Remover
Shaving cream
Hair spray
Home Decor
Pet toys
Jewelry
Accessories
Manicures
Pedicures
Perfume
Excess dishes and utensils
Phone Accessories
Water bottles
Sheet masks
Disposable menstrual pads
Disposable face towels
Single function appliances
Excess cleaning products
Souvenirs
Toys
Things that are just on sale
Dollar store stuff
Name brand products
In some cases, I have replaced these items with more sustainable alternatives. For example, I use reusable cotton pads and menstrual cups instead of disposable cotton pads. I also avoid buying items that I don't need and instead invest in quality items that will last.
Living a minimalist lifestyle has allowed me to make more conscious decisions about what I buy and to avoid products that are wasteful or unnecessary. By eliminating these items from my life, I have been able to focus on what really matters and live a more meaningful life.
